One Month In The Saddle, Uba Sani Remains Consistently A True Democrat

By Comrade Musa Mohammed

The Executive Governor of Kaduna state and Former Nigerian lawmaker, senator Uba Sani stepped in the saddle as the swon-in governor of the state on May 29th, 2023, fully prepared to chart a clear trajectory that is a true democrat and non-pecuniary in the discharge of his clear mandate.

Senator Uba Sani is a political and true democrat. Since assumption in office as the executive Governor of Kaduna state, he must necessarily be able to deconstruct the political and economic themes and interests of the citizenry.

In a largely dissimilar fashion, he is acting covertly and has so far maintained a clean slate across media platforms such that he has yet to run into a storm.

Uba Sani has helped to ginger up kaduna’s politcal profile, which has unsurprisingly been on the rise. Through his wealth of experience and the gravitas that he infuses into his mandate delivery, he has assisted his predecessor Malam Nasiru El-Rufai to reposition kaduna state.

The zeal demonstrated within his one month assumption of office is worthy of commendation.

The Governor has held several meetings with several different stakeholders in the state to secure first hand information on the current situation in the state so that he makes adequate strategic plans to address the myriad of challenges facing the state in the areas of security, education, agriculture, youth restiveness, women empowerment etc.

The meetings brought the government and various publics closer and information generated from the meetings serves as basis for government plans.

The meetings involves key components of government (legislature and the judiciary, the labour, traditional leadership, religious groups, community leaders etc.
His development agenda is a clear testimony that his administration would be inclusive carrying all the people of the state along.

His efforts have resulted in reduction banditry, kidnappings and other crimes in the state.

Uba Sani: A Product Of Democracy Who Understands And Appreciates The Tenets Of Democracy And It’s Value.

BY COMRADE MUSA MOHAMMED

Elections have come and gone and the people have made their choices known on whom they trust to govern them.

The military often rejoice in the notion that surprise is the first element of war. However the emergence of His Excellency Senator Uba Sani as Governor-elect of Kaduna State is a tale long foretold. He did not get to this summit in one sudden political leap. Instead it has come as a prize, at the end of a long struggle, in which every mile of the way was contested, challenged and litigated until he crossed the finish line. In the end, SENATOR UBA SANI, candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna was declared governor-elect having scored the highest number of votes in the March 18

Uba Sani believes in people. And APC as a party is imbued with members with huge capacity in all fields. And he is a listening person. He listens to advice and counselling. You can see the outburst of the people in his support. So he is a man that would shock people.

He is a man who has been underrated by those people who do not know him. But we are very close to him and know his capacity. You see when you allow a successful person to govern, he will deliver, because he is not looking for food to eat. In my discussion with him, he has his plans. If you see someone who is talking about education, security, health, agriculture, housing, he knows what he is doing.

My advice to the people of the state is to pray for the successful tenure and to support the governor. You support the governor and behave in a manner that the law permits. Act in a lawful manner. Pay your taxes, support the government and pray for the governor and his team, and that is what we need for kaduna to grow.

You will see shortly as he mounts leadership, there will be more and more investment and investors in Kaduna and then there will be trade, people will be coming in and out. Many people will go back to kaduna and increase their investment, because he is going to give you a peaceful and enabling environment. And these are the prerequisite requirements for growth and development.

I am saying it with all the confidence that the new governor, Senator Uba Sani will govern the State successfully.

The fact is kaduna state are set to appreciate the true meaning of democracy because the man in the saddle today is a product of democracy and someone who understands and appreciates the tenets of democracy and the value it brings to the table of the populace.

Uba Sani is a true democrat who was involved in the struggle for the return of democracy to the country and has finally assumed the position of authority, “UBA SANI will not shy away from bringing to bear the dividends of democracy the people of Kaduna state have been yearning for.”

Recall when he was declared the winner, he still extend his hands of fellowship and bond of friendship to his brothers and sisters on the other side of the political divide, he call on them to join him in building a state that we all, irrespective of political affiliations, will be proud to call our home.”

I urged the people of the state not to allow themselves to be used as agents of violent disorder.

We remain the proud sons and daughters of Kaduna State, and no disruptive influences of politics should break the cords of our togetherness.

The people of the state should be praying for governor UBA SANI to have a successful tenure.

Motivation: Anti-corruption group calls for police to reward officer who rejected 50m bribe from Chinese officials

By Mohamed Auwal

The Anti-Corruption Crusaders Network, a group based in Kaduna, has called on the Nigerian Police Authorities to reward a police officer who refused a N50 million bribe from two Chinese officials.

The officer, Abdullahi Lawal, who was the former Sokoto State Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was commended by the group for his patriotism and honesty.

The group’s leader, Comrade Shehu Abubakar, praised Lawal during an interview with journalists in Kaduna shortly after the Court of Appeal sentenced the two Chinese officials to prison for their offenses.

Abubakar urged the highest police authorities to promote Lawal, a senior police officer, as a reward for his actions.

The Sokoto Division of the Court of Appeal had found Mr. Meng Wei Kun and Mr. Xu Kuai guilty of two of a three-count charge that included conspiracy, money laundering, and attempted bribery to the tune of N50 Million brought against them by the EFCC.

Abdul Abdul Rahman Giwa, another member of the anti-corruption group, also commended the judiciary for upholding the truth by ensuring that the Chinese men were convicted.

Giwa emphasized the importance of recognizing officers like Abdullahi Lawal, who serve their country with dedication and patriotism.

The group believes that recognizing and rewarding officers like Lawal will serve as motivation to other junior-ranking officers to emulate him.

Furthermore, such recognition would demonstrate to the world that Nigerians were not corrupt and that there were citizens who were proud of their country.

The call for Lawal’s promotion highlights the importance of integrity in law enforcement and the fight against corruption.

It also emphasizes the need to recognize and reward honest officers who perform their duties with dedication and patriotism.
